Opening the Eyes of the Heart
On February 27, 2010 at 3:34 am, Chile suffered a devastating earthquake followed by an even more destructive tsunami. People from all parts of Chile and the whole world wanted to help.
Chile Humanity Foundation had not yet been established therefore, the founders sought other means of assistance. This opened an opportunity to raise funds for a housing project in Rio Claro.
Over US $100,000 was raised with the largest donor, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) located in the United States. This project helped families who lost their homes returned to their lives by providing shelter and permanent security. The people effected by the disaster not only lost everything but they suffered a blow to their sense of Peace and Security
At this time TPRF was distributing the Peace Education Program (PEP).
The course aims to help participants to explore such topics as Peace, Consciousness, Clarity, Choice, Dignity, Understanding, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Satisfaction. The Founders of the Foundation realized that this course could help many people in this country and decided to bring the course to Chile. Thus the Fundacion Humanidad Chile was founded in June 2013 with a mandate to: Provide emergency response assistance and spread the message of peace to help people live with Dignity, Peace and Prosperity
Subsequently the distribution and presentation of the TPRF Peace Education Program has become the main focus of the Foundation. The program is currently running in a variety of institutions and NGOs in 5 region.
